Farewell to Mr. Wininger – Leah Martinez

It’s now the end of the school year, and most have heard that Mr. Wininger is retiring, so I would like to give him a farewell.

Mr. Wininger has been the principal of BC for 16 years. In those years, he showed that it wasn’t just a job. He showed how much he loves being principal here, and he made an amazing effort at building relationships with his students and staff. He’s also the type who talks with his students when they get annoyed or start to slip, and will try to understand and push you to do what you can, or tell you that you’re in the wrong; for some, he’s even like a friend. He’s truly a kind and funny soul who shows how proud he is of our school. He deserves to have a great end of year where we show him how proud we are of him and that he will be missed very much because he’s made an impact on the people in this building. As we all walk through the building, if you see Mr. Wininger, just shoot him a thank you, because he has built a family in our school!

Mr Wininger, thank you for all your hard work, care, understanding, and supportiveness!! You are a great principal!!

I hope you get to enjoy and spend all the time you want with your loved ones and can do the things you love to do as well. Enjoy!!! You will be deeply missed at BCHS!!!
